The ferial days of Lent are indeed extraordinary days. All have their own proper (the movable part of the text of the liturgy). The Romans used to gather at one church, where the collect prayer was sung (collect means gathering), and then go in procession to another church (the so called stational church), where  Mass was celebrated. Come to Immaculate Conception church to experience these venerable rituals and hear ancient chants rarely heard outside of traditional monastic communities.
